CANADA GOOSE LAUNCHES LIVE IN THE OPEN BUILDING ON ITS DEEP CONNECTION TO FILM AND ENTERTAINMENT
This season, performance luxury brand Canada Goose launches the second season of the highly anticipated Live In The Open campaign, building on its deep connection to Film and Entertainment. The campaign profiles hand-selected protagonists from around the world such as adventurer and film safety expert Aldo Kane or dancer and choreographer Suzette Brissett.
Each chapter focuses on the resilience and perseverance inherent in the survival of these creators to inspire a new generation of diverse voices.
Part one features Suzette Brissett, an internationally respected Choreographer and Creative Director who showcases that strength starts from within. Highlighting the boundless motion of the Canada Goose Hybridge jacket, the film dances alongside Suzette on her journey towards inner confidence, pushing herself outside of her comfort zone to find her place in the open.
World Record-Setting Adventurer and Explorer Aldo Kane practices mind over matter in part two. Highlighting the gravity-defying Lightweight Parka, the audience dives into the mind of the adventurer on a grueling journey, showing the courage and determination it takes to look within and breakthrough in the face of adversity.
Suzette Brissett
Making it as a professional choreographer is no easy feat; it takes an endless amount of drive, passion and perseverance—three things Suzette Brissett has a whole lot of. Growing up watching music videos religiously, Suzette knew early on that she wanted to be a choreographer. After attending the University of California San Diego for ballet and contemporary dance, Suzette decided to change her course and drop out to pursue her true passion—street dancing. Today, Suzette is spreading her contagious energy and love of dance around the world, cultivating the UK dance scene and collaborating with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Major Lazer, Dua Lipa, J Balvin, Skepta and more.
“Dancing, for me, is just a way for me to release frustration and happiness. It’s a different way to communicate with other people.” Suzette Brissett.
Aldo Kane
With over 20 years of experience working in some of the most extreme and remote places on the planet, there isn't an environment where newest Canada Goose Friend, Aldo Kane, cannot operate. Growing up with an urge to travel and see the world, at age 16, Aldo joined the Royal Marines. He spent over ten years roaming the globe, putting himself in some of the world’s most extreme environments, and learning to overcome them with incredible resilience. Today, Aldo is still living in the open, working as a technical advisor for some of the world’s largest TV and film productions, using his invaluable survival skills to keep the entertainment industry safe.
“I’ve learned over the years to become an expert in surviving.” Aldo Kane
Canada Goose and Film
For more than 25 years, Canada Goose has partnered with the film and entertainment industry, keeping cast and crew outfitted both on and off camera. To date, the brand has appeared on 200+ film sets, including The Day After Tomorrow, National Treasure, Spectre, Manchester by the Sea and X-Men 2. To complement this relationship, Canada Goose is an active sponsor of many film festivals around the world, including Sundance and Toronto International Film Festival, as well as a long-standing partner of Studio Babelsberg in Germany.
