Meet Maison Père
Interview with the founder of Maison Père
Founded in 2014, Maison Père designs fashion as an "affective wardrobe", invested with legacy and tradition. Read the interview with Camille Omerin, founder of this brand that is sold exclusively at Le Bon Marché this season, starting with a pop up store from January 3 to 30 2017.
Who is the Maison Père woman?
To me, the Maison Père woman rather lives in an urban environment, she's about 35. However, our range of customers is very wide: lots of women of all ages relate with Maison Père, which proposes first and foremost a modern story, but rooted in values such as family and transmission. The Maison Père woman pays great attention to details: she likes being elegant while remaining very natural. Touching, this woman is finally simple and sophisticated at the same time.
What is your favorite item from this SS17 collection?
I totally fall for the striped outfit made of Lurex, with its very fresh mix of colours combined with a 70s feel which is definitely modern.
What does being sold at Le Bon Marché represent for you?
I'm glad that Maison Père is being sold at Le Bon marché. I lived 7 years in this neighborhood, this is where I have all my habits. I think this is one of the rare department store with a soul while being avant-gardist. I like the fact that Le Bon Marché mobilizes its customers by organizing exhibitions and other events that make the store even more full of life. You don't only come to Le Bon Marché for shopping, but also to enjoy the place and everything that is offered there.
