Created with the idea of encouraging women to assert themselves, the French House of Dior quickly established itself as a creative brand that reshaped the feminine silhouette, notably through dresses that have since become legendary. Founded at the end of 1946, the company immediately focused its creations on haute couture and presented its first fashion show just a few months later. Highly avant-garde, the collection introduced silhouettes that contrasted with the codes of the time. The House soon experienced worldwide growth with lines bearing evocative names such as Corolle, Verticale, Naturelle, Sinueuse, Profilée, Tulipe, Libre and Fuseau. From the initial sketch to the final assembly, including embroidery, each piece is crafted with remarkable technical and artistic expertise. The wedding dresses, with their sweeping trains or delicate tulle embroidery, also became unforgettable highlights that traditionally closed the shows.
