The Conner Ives collections draw their inspiration from their creator's childhood, fed by the girls and women he grew up around. He tells his family story through designs in which American identity is very present. While Conner Ives frequented the famed Central Saint Martins in London, he was, in fact, born in Bedford, New York. The designer quickly founded his own design studio, but was disturbed by the ecological impact of the fashion industry. For this reason, Conner Ives looks for means of making clothing more sustainable and environmentally responsible. His eponymous brand has built its renown on upcycling, with vintage-style pieces made of recycled T-shirts. The design has enthralled international stars like Rihanna, who proudly wears the patchwork dress. These colored pieces combining multiple graphics are the signature of the fashion house.
