Born in the roaring twenties, the name of Rochas still reminds the world of the strength of French style. It was founded in 1925, when Marcel Rochas created his first couture house at only 23 years old. He breathed youth into his re-interpretation of Parisian elegance. His almost obsessive need to free himself from the conventional led him to flirt with exuberance and the eclectic. Rochas was famous for his iconic bustier, his Canadian jacket and the way he combined fabrics. In 2021 the almost 100-year old brand started a new lease of life with the arrival of its new artistic director, Charles de Vilmorin. Known for his bold collections, this designer creates elegant, timeless pieces with a touch of folly, true to the heritage of this French brand. Each one of his creations is fresh, free and extravagant. And although Rochas likes to play with the rules of fashion, its clothes are always as elegant as they are different.
