Dr. Max Huber, Physiker und Gründer von La Mer, ließ sich von den Heilkräften des Meeres inspirieren, als er aus persönlichen Gründen auf die Suche nach einem Mittel zur Verbesserung des Aussehens seiner Haut ging, die während eines Laborexperiments verbrannt worden war.
