BLEU DE CHAUFFE

Le bleu de chauffe was the name given to the blue jacket worn by railroad workers in the era when they boiled water to increase the pressure in the first steam locomotives. And so the expression ""Bleu de Chauffe"" was born.
In the 20th century, workers and craftsmen naturally adopted the garment. Of simple design and solidly made, the bleu de chauffe is a loose, functional garment which protected them and kept them comfortable all day long.
Inspired by the craftsmen and women who wore these old work clothes, we wanted to give our collections style, ingenuity, simplicity and authenticity. This combination of elements that we describe as ""French style"", that we display every season through our collections, is also synonymous for Bleu de Chauffe and its craftsmen of work well done.
