MAGLIANO by Luca Magliano

Winner of the 2023 Karl Lagerfeld Prize

Magliano, founded by Luca Magliano in 2017 in Bologna, is an Italian brand and a symbol of the libertarian movement, through which the city at its heart is celebrated as an ethical and aesthetic paradigm. The brand's image is nourished by the concept of the « provincia » a vast system of landscapes and outlying regions where people use their own dialects and where the magic of realism plays its part. Magliano infuses masculine classics with a dark, slightly careless attitude to creating a wardrobe.

With its heterodox streetwear influence, Magliano's typically Italian silhouette personifies the Bolognese designer's realist aesthetic. Genderless and oversized, the tracksuit is complemented by a tank top and printed accessories.

“It was the lively energy of Les Halles that inspired me to design this look: Magliano's vision of a street wardrobe. For me, this 24S project was the perfect opportunity to expand our work for the LVMH Prize.”

Luca Magliano

“Drawing on menswear classics but completely attuned to the pop culture of the moment, Magliano's style is ultra-recognizable.”
