Givenchy returned to the Paris men’s calendar with a standalone collection and for the 1st time Givenchy artistic director Clare Waight Keller introduced the Winter19 menswear collection at an event separate from her womenswear. The collection showcases its nez vision of a complete, day-to-evening wardrobe brimming with contrasts, eclectic pairings and a nod to the maverick individualism of the 90s.
Today, Givenchy remains synonymous with the dual notions of fresh modernity and aristocratic elegance, a tribute to the talents of Monsieur Givenchy’s successors, in chronological order: John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Julien MacDonald, Riccardo Tisci and, most recently, Clare Waight Keller.
In June 2020, the iconic House opened a fresh chapter in its history by appointing designer Matthew M. Williams as Creative Director for women’s and men’s collections.
