EXPERIENCE THIRD MILLENNIUM SHOPPING AT LE BON MARCHÉ UNTIL 22 APRIL

To coincide with the Geek mais Chic exhibition, Le Bon Marché is celebrating third millennium shopping! 3D printing, customisation, holograms, augmented and virtual reality, digital artwork; more than 80 brands have signed themselves up to devise exclusive experiences and experiment with digital innovation.


Here's a brief overview of what Le Bon Marché has in store to awaken the Geek in you!

THE GEEK MAIS CHIC EXHIBITION EVENT AT LE BON MARCHÉ

Enter a new world with virtual reality !
Thanks to MONTBLANC and its user-friendly connected headset, you can travel the world from the comfort of your chair: visit Havana in a Cadillac, New York by helicopter, Venice in a gondola, Hong Kong, Istanbul... anything is possible!

FENDI’s mirrored set-up promises to immerse you in the world of the Baguette bag, thanks to leap-motion, innovative gesture recognition technology.

Amongst the most amazing technology on show is video mapping. It allows for the "enhanced customisation" of TOD'S loafers and STELLA MCCARTNEY trainers.
The process is ingenious and involves projecting 3D videos - showing different colours and materials - onto the surface of a neutral-coloured shoe in grey or white. The optical illusion is all-consuming and really does feel like you're customising the shoes to your specification in just a few clicks.

The world of beauty is being revolutionised with the advent of fully customised products! Perfumers are using algorithms to determine the perfect match for customers. Visit the booth by GUERLAIN and talk to the intelligent voice assistant that can help you select the perfect fragrance for you from the brand’s 110 different offerings.


SILLAGES PARIS uses software to create its tailor-made fragrances: choose six ingredients from a range of thirty to create your made-to-measure formulation.

Another high-performance customisation tool is 3D printing. It is being used by footwear brand ECCO to create the perfect, bespoke sole with help from Quant-U, a high-tech procedure that scans the shape of your foot.

Draw luminous designs on the SMARTWATER wall using nothing but water... Magic ? Better still... technology. Express your creativity by drawing any design you like on an impressive LED wall using sprays, sponges and pens containing water !


DELVAUX, LEGO, BON PARFUMEUR, YVES-SAINT LAURENT, GUCCI, PRADA, MOËT&CHANDON, JIMMY CHOO, BETTINA VERMILLON, MAKE MY LEMONADE, L/UNIFORM, LOLA JAMES HARPER and over 80 other brands are also offering experiences befitting the third millennium.
