LA GRANDE ÉPICERIE DE PARIS - 80, RUE DE PASSY - PARIS 16TH
2,800 m2, MANY DIFFERENT UNIVERSES AND OVER 6,000 REFERENCES
The new address of La Grande Épicerie de Paris welcomes you to its market, with brightly coloured fruit and vegetable stands surrounded with meat, fish and pastries prepared by artisans of La Grande Épicerie de Paris.
If you go down to the basement level, you will find immense vaults filled with wines and, of course, cheese and ham to accompany them.
On the first floor, you will be plunged into the universe of sweet or savoury dried products. Among the many surprises on this floor, you will discover hundreds of jams presented in a red alcove, an irresistible “tablettothèque” with chocolates from a thousand different places and a fun “chipsothèque” with unique pre-dinner snacks. Just like the emblematic mineral water wall in the Rue de Sèvres store, the oil wall will take you on a journey thanks to a vast back-lit wall.
SURPRISES ON EVERY LEVEL
Outside, the two grass-covered façades on Rue de Passy and Avenue Paul Doumer, created from mint, thyme and rosemary, feature a surprising wealth of plants.
The historical dome, a key and majestic architectural element, consisting of over 2,300 glass prisms, creates a dazzling show and diffuses light to the whole store. Chef Béatriz Gonzalez has opened her third Paris restaurant here: Le Rive Droite. With explosions of flavours and refined taste creations, this restaurant invites you on a journey through Mexican savours combined with more traditional cuisine.
The architecture has been designed to promote the wealth of expertise and the variety of products. Artist Mathilde Jonquière created four unique and superb figurative mosaics especially for La Grande Épicerie de Paris, Rue de Passy. Their bright colours decorate and depict the universes of La Grande Épicerie de Paris, such as the bakers and fishmongers.
The entire team of La Grande Épicerie de Paris is waiting for you on the Right Bank for a unique gastronomic walk-around!
