BARBOUR Men

Barbour is very much a part of the long story of luxury English fashion. Its creator, John Barbour, founded the brand in 1894. It first specialized in the production of robust waxed canvas jackets destined for sailors and dockers. The brand diversified progressively with clothing for bikers and uniforms for submariners. The family business built its renown around all-terrain jackets. Its two iconic designs, the Bedale and the Beaufort were immensely successful. Made by hand, Barbour jackets generally have several signature elements: a gold-tone ring on the zipper, lined hand-warmer pockets, and a flap with snap stud fastener, as well as the traditional velvet collar. This history can still be seen in its practical and elegant pieces that have been loved by the British royal family since the 80s. Barbour is also eco-responsible, in order to limit its impact on the environment. As part of its sustainable development program, this British brand uses a rewaxing technique to prolong the life of its jackets
