Born in 1958, Belgian designer Dries Van Noten is the third generation of a family of tailors from Antwerp. While studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, he worked as a freelance designer and presented his first ready-to-wear collection in London in 1986. A blend of bohemian, casual, and sportswear, Dries Van Noten's style is distinguished by a profusion of prints and patterns. Dries Van Noten uses luxurious and natural materials in his creations, continually experimenting with textiles and new embroidery techniques.
