Maison Kitsuné is a fashion brand and a music label, created in Paris in 2002 by Gildas Loaëc, a former manager of the French electronic music duo Daft Punk, and Masaya Kuroki, an architect.
In Japan, Loaëc and Kuroki came together to oversee the production of Daft Punk’s anime film Interstella 5555, and developed the concept for Maison Kitsuné : a one-of-a-kind brand that combines their two stylistically intertwined interests: fashion and music.
The name « Kitsuné », meaning « fox » in Japanese is a symbol of versatility. Legend has it, the fox possesses the power to change its appearance, and there is no doubt Maison Kitsuné knows how to adapt its sound and style according to inspiration.
