PINK OCTOBER x LE BON MARCHE RIVE GAUCHE
LE BON MARCHÉ CELEBRATES WOMEN
For the latest 2020 edition of Pink October, the major annual information and awareness campaign on breast cancer, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche has teamed up with the Pink Ribbon organisation for the first time, in partnership with its two founding members, Marie-Claire and the Estée Lauder group.
For the occasion, a special interactive space has been decorated in the colours of the organisation. Open throughout October, it’ll bring partners together with the aim of raising awareness and funds via a dedicated and uplifting programme of events geared around charitable products.
Le Bon Marché invites you to explore the 350m2 space designed by Garance Vallée on the first floor of the Espace Lingerie, from 26 September to 31 October.
So, what can you expect? Events, talks and workshops given by brands sharing their background and commitment to the cause alongside the Pink Ribbon organisation.
The Pink Ribbon Organisation
Established in France in 1994 by the Estée Lauder Companies France group and Marie Claire magazine to raise awareness among the general public via an annual information campaign known as Pink October, as well as raise funds for research all year round.
This year, the slogan "A ribbon that unites us all" is accompanied by an important emphasis on the appeal for donations from individuals.
Embracing Pink October at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche
This unique venue was designed as an experimental sharing space with the primary mission of celebrating women by raising the awareness of as many people as possible.
To this end, Le Bon Marché has brought previous Pink Ribbon partners together with new ones like the fashion designer Isabel Marant, keen to get involved with the cause.
The venue was conceived by the new face of interior design, Garance Vallée. Passionate about contemporary art, design and architecture, her inspiration comes from experimentation, contemporary modernism, the 50s and 70s.
For this pop-up, which recalls the curves of the female body, the young artist has created an evolving space constructed like an initiatory journey in which customers can discover new products, become acquainted with meditation and well-being, as well as join in with talks by speakers covering their backgrounds and commitment to the cause, alongside the Pink Ribbon organisation.
Explore the complete event programme and book now. Funds raised will go to help fight breast cancer.
"We are overjoyed that Le Bon Marché is working with us and joining the fight against breast cancer, in particular by introducing rounding up at the checkout in store" - Jean-Christophe Jourde and Sandrine Planchon
Charitable products selection
The pop-up will stock a selection of charitable products designed by partner brands, with a proportion of the profits being donated to the Pink Ribbon organisation.
Every day, brands belonging to Estée Lauder Companies will be offering introductory beauty workshops in the form of round tables led by experts from:
Estée Lauder, Clinique, La Mer, Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Bumble & Bumble, Jo Malone London and Darphin.
Designer Isabel Marant has created a T-shirt especially for the occasion. Exclusively available at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, all profits will go to the Pink Ribbon organisation.
To get involved and show your support for breast cancer research, visit the 1st floor of Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche. Exclusive t-shirts can also be reserved by calling +33 (0)1 44 39 83 34 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org

You’ll also find lingerie from brands including Chantelle, Ysé, Mina Storm, Laurence Tavernier, Maison Lejaby, Skin, YUJ Livy and Wolford, as well as books that the authors will present as part of the talks and other events.
Note: YUJ has designed a yoga mat exclusively for Le Bon Marché, the entire proceeds of which will be donated to Pink Ribbon.
Finally, partner brand Marisol will be offering personalised advice on how different treatments affect the hair, as well as advice on wearing a wig, by appointment only (call +33 (0)1 44 61 18 34). Something for everyone under one roof.
All the money raised in this way will help finance many awareness-raising activities and support research by the Pink Ribbon organisation. Ever since 2016, the organisation has been able to accept donations online through its website www.cancerdusein.org.
And for the first time, rounding up at the checkout has been introduced at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, as well as La Grande Épicerie de Paris, so as to further support the organisation.
